FIVE CRAZY NOSTRADAMUS 2023 PREDICTIONS: FROM ‘GREAT WAR’ TO ‘CELESTIAL FIRE’
The time has come to review Nostradamus’ predictions for the coming year, so what’s supposedly in store for 2023? We’re afraid it’s not looking good.
French physician and alleged prophet Nostradamus published his collection of prophecies in 1555, predicting pivotal events in history.
Born in 1503, the clairvoyant gained a massive following with his ambiguous poems formatted as quatrains – four-line stanzas. Nostradamus’, also known as Michel De Nostredame, legacy is widely recognized over 450 years later as enthusiasts have identified his claims as eerily accurate, including the Great Fire Of London and Hitler’s conquest.

FIVE CONCERNING NOSTRADAMUS 2023 PREDICTIONS‘A GREAT WAR’
Nostradamus followers are forecasting an escalation of the Ukraine-Russia conflict on the basis of the following quote: “Seven months the Great War, people dead of evil-doing. Rouen, Evreux shall not fall to the King.”
It hints at a possible seven-month conflict, as well as the safety of French cities, Evreux and Rouen, in Normandy.
The 2022 conflict began in February, and between 10,000 and 13,000 Ukrainian troops have died, as of December 2, reports BBC.
The US Joint Chiefs Of Staff, meanwhile, estimates that more than 100,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded since the war began.
‘CELESTIAL FIRE’
The Prophecies (Les Prophéties) are categorized into different centuries, each with 100 quatrains. Much of 2023’s predictions are taken from Century IV, stanza 100, including claims about a ‘celestial fire’.
The verse begins with the line “From the celestial fire on the Royal edifice,” which fans believe is more than a royal palace exploding into flames.
The Mirror reports doomsday has referenced fire as a factor of the end of the world, so Nostradamus suggests a new world order will emerge.

‘ECONOMIC DISASTER’The cost of living has been a major dilemma for countries around the globe due to the covid pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia war, making the predicted economic disaster a real possibility.
“So high will the bushel of wheat rise, that man will be eating his fellow man,” reads the book, which can be interpreted as rivalries between the population.
AN END TO MAN ON MARS MISSION
Elon Musk has made colonizing Mars s as one of his life missions, but 2023 could mark the end of it all.
Nostradamus writes, “when the light of Mars will go out”, which can be interpreted as Musk’s bright prospects on the red planet being dimmed.

GLOBAL WARMINGGlobal warming has been a long-concerning issue, with outspoken protestors retaliating in 2022. One that springs to mind is the Just Stop Oil protest, which saw students make headlines for throwing two cans of Heinz tomato soup at Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting at London’s National Gallery.
The French physician forecasted that global warming could worsen as temperatures increase, and thus will sea levels, in this concerning stanza:
“For forty years the rainbow will not be seen. For forty years it will be seen every day. The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen.”
Hopefully, the 40-year duration is one of the many moments he’s missed the mark
