What’s new?
Our 10th-anniversary edition includes the features that our EMOTIV community loves about EPOC+, but its improved design can enable neuroscience research in more contexts.
Rotating headband
EPOC X has been designed with a rotating headband that can be positioned on top or at the rear of the head. This redesign enables more data collection opportunities — including sleep studies — and comfortable support for users with a head restraint or those needing headrest support.
Reduced rehydration time
We’ve modified the design to include an opening at the rear of each sensor. The rear opening makes it easier to rehydrate each sensor while in place; reducing interruptions and enabling experiments to run for a longer duration.
Robust sensor redesign
With the aim of making EMOTIV Brainwear® robust and even easier to use, we’ve electroplated EPOC X’s electrodes to reduce oxidation and redesigned the sensors to be more sustainable – avoiding fragile sensor grip breakages.
Improved signal quality
As EEG is highly sensitive to noise, we’ve adjusted and relocated the amplifiers to increase the EPOC X’s ability to reduce noise and improve signal quality.
Enhanced performance and connectivity
Better performance and device connectivity with our updated antenna and radio.
Eco friendly design & packaging
The number of replaceable components has been reduced in EPOC X. It is also shipped in a protective and reusable travel case; meaning no excessive packaging.
